NGX Amendments to Rules for Listing of Closed-End Funds - SEC Approved - 26 May 2026
* Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) has implemented new listing and continuing obligation rules for Closed-End Funds (CEFs), effective May 26, 2026.
* CEFs must maintain a minimum free float of 15% and report their Net Asset Value (NAV) on a daily basis.
* The rules establish requirements for share buy-backs, liquidity procedures, and ongoing financial reporting, while specifying sanctions for non-compliance, including fines starting at ₦10,000 per week for failing to file accounts on time.
