How Nigeria's ISPs ranked by subscriber numbers in Q2 2026

Nigeria's licensed internet service providers recorded 420,989 active subscribers in the second quarter of 2026, according to the Nigerian Communications Commission. The top 10 ISPs control 340,573 of those lines, or about 80.9% of the total ISP subscriber base.
The market remains highly concentrated. Of the total active subscribers, 138,769 were wired connections and 282,220 were wireless broadband. While old player Spectranet still holds the leadership position, Starlink is fast catching up as more Nigerians adopt satellite internet.
New entrants and movers
Intellivision Technologies Ltd, which offers broadband through its Ikonectt brand, entered the top 10 for the first time at number 10 with 4,743 active subscribers. It had 43 points of presence and accounted for about 1.1% of the active ISP market.
Fieldbase Services Ltd is another newcomer, and its arrival was big. The infrastructure and connectivity company displaced other operators to take fourth place with 15,102 active subscribers, all wireless broadband. It had five points of presence and about 3.6% of the market.
Ngcom Ltd slipped from seventh to ninth position with 6,194 active subscribers. Its customer base is mostly fixed broadband, with 5,958 wired and 236 wireless subscribers. Ngcom had 22 points of presence and represented about 1.5% of the total ISP subscriber base.
Wireless and fibre leaders
Tizeti Network Ltd ranked eighth with 9,610 active subscribers, all under wireless broadband. The company, which deploys public Wi-Fi hotspots, had 143 points of presence and accounted for about 2.3% of the market.
Broadbased Communication Ltd took seventh place with 10,761 active subscribers. It had 27 points of presence and about 2.6% of the total ISP subscriber base.
Swift Networks, one of the oldest ISPs in the country, placed sixth with 12,567 active subscribers. The company, founded in 2002, had 10,058 wireless and 2,509 wired subscribers, with 281 points of presence. Its subscriber base represented about 3.0% of the active ISP market.
ipNX Nigeria Ltd ranked fifth with 15,084 active subscribers, just 18 behind Fieldbase. Its subscriber base is predominantly wired, with 14,698 fibre-to-the-home connections and 386 wireless customers. ipNX had 54 points of presence and about 3.6% of the market.
FiberOne Broadband Ltd kept the third position with 56,486 active subscribers. The company, which describes itself as Nigeria's largest fibre-to-the-home provider, recorded all of its subscribers under the wired fixed or fibre-to-the-home category.
The subscriber shifts show a market where newer players are gaining ground, giving consumers more alternatives to long-standing operators.
