Squatterz spin-off 'Tiara & Boma' premieres October 12 on Wazobia Max

Tiara and Boma, two familiar faces from the Squatterz universe, will take centre stage in their own comedy series when 'Tiara & Boma' premieres on Wazobia Max on October 12, 2026, at 8:30 PM.
The 13-episode sitcom comes from ContentGram Studios Africa and is created and written by Seun Arowojolu. It pulls the two characters out of the Squatterz ensemble and builds a story around their wildly contrasting personalities, taking in ambition, social media drama, money problems, relationships and the everyday chaos of surviving Lagos.
Two characters, two ways of seeing life
Tiara, played by Obadafe Blessed, is an ambitious content creator determined to rebuild her fading online relevance and construct the perfect soft-life image. She wants beautiful pictures, strong engagement, brand deals and a lifestyle that looks like everything is going according to plan.
Boma, played by John Samuel Odinaka, arrives with an unpredictable, food-obsessed and unapologetic persona. He has little interest in appearances and an unusual ability to turn ordinary situations into unexpected problems. The show's comedy rests on the clash between the two approaches.
Arowojolu said the contrast is the engine of the series. "Tiara and Boma see life completely differently. Tiara wants to control how the world sees her. Boma is simply Boma. Putting those two people together gives you endless possibilities for comedy," he said.
New faces, new complications
The creator said the spin-off also introduces new characters and relationships around the pair, adding further complications as their growing visibility begins to affect the people around them.
"At its heart, 'Tiara & Boma' explores aspiration, survival, online relevance and the contrast between the image people create for social media and the reality behind it, while maintaining the comedy and character-driven storytelling associated with the 'Squatterz' universe," Arowojolu said.
He added that the series allows the team to take two known characters and explore what happens when they deal with life together outside the larger Squatterz household.
Old audience, new viewers
The spin-off gives existing Squatterz viewers more of two of the show's distinctive personalities, while staying accessible to audiences meeting the characters for the first time.
Arowojolu said viewers should expect plenty of unexpected situations as the unlikely duo try to turn their differences into something that works.
