TBWA Concept Unit names George Isitua-Onukwu as new CEO

By

The board of TBWA Concept Unit has appointed George Isitua-Onukwu as Chief Executive Officer. He takes over from Kelechi Nwosu on July 1, 2026.

Nwosu helped build the Lagos agency into one of Nigeria's most respected creative firms. His tenure produced well known campaigns like Proudly Made in Aba and the Spirit of Lagos project.

Isitua-Onukwu is expected to push the agency beyond traditional advertising. The goal is to turn the business into a creator of products, platforms and intellectual property.

He previously served as Chief Operating Officer. In that role, he led commercial and operational strategy across banking, telecoms, FMCG, tech and professional services.

Nwosu said Isitua-Onukwu combines commercial discipline with a deep appreciation for creativity. He expressed confidence in the new CEO's ability to lead the next phase of growth.

The agency is already working on owned ventures, including cultural and entertainment platforms. These are meant to extend its creative output beyond client campaigns.
