Police Arrest Alleged Fake PFIPC Director General Adeniyi Adeyemi
By Aboki Forex —
Operatives of the Nigerian Police Force have arrested Adeniyi Adeyemi, the self-styled Director General of the fake Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). The arrest came just hours after Justice Mohammed Umar of the Federal High Court in Abuja issued a warrant for his arrest.
In a video shared by TVC News, Adeyemi was seen being questioned by police operatives. The development was confirmed in a monitored report on TVC News on July 14, 2026.
Court Warrant and Absence
Adeyemi was scheduled to be arraigned on an eight-count charge, case number FHC/ABJ/CR/562/2025, filed by the police. The charges relate to forgery, fraud, and impersonation. However, when the case was called by the Registrar at the resumed proceedings, Adeyemi and other defendants were absent.
Wisdom Madaki, the lawyer representing the police, urged the court to issue a bench warrant for Adeyemi's arrest following his failure to appear. Adeyemi's lawyer, Genesis Francis, told the court that his client feared for his life and had written a letter to President Bola Tinubu.
Justice Umar's Directive
Justice Umar directed all security agencies to arrest Adeyemi wherever he is found. The court then adjourned the case until September 30 for arraignment. The arrest has since been executed by police operatives, bringing the suspect into custody.
The PFIPC is not a recognised government body, and Adeyemi is alleged to have operated it fraudulently. The case has drawn attention to the activities of individuals impersonating government officials.
More details are expected to follow as the case progresses.
