By

The Naira depreciated against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Tuesday.

Central Bank of Nigeria data showed the Naira weakened to N1,357.18 per dollar, down from N1,356.27 on Monday. That is a drop of 90 kobo on a day to day basis.

On the black market, the Naira stayed flat at N1,395 per dollar on Tuesday. It was the same rate as the previous day.

The mixed sentiment across official and parallel markets comes as Nigeria’s external reserves stand at $50.81 billion as of June 15, 2026.

Recall that the local currency had appreciated against the dollar at the official market on Monday to start the week on a positive note.
