Naira Gains Further at Official Window, Trades at N1,357/$1

The Nigerian naira continued its appreciation against the United States dollar at the official foreign exchange window on Wednesday, 3 June 2026. Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria shows the currency traded at N1,357.2615 per dollar at the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market.

This marks an improvement from the previous day's rate of N1,361.0497 recorded on 2 June 2026. The naira closed at N1,360.0000 per dollar on Wednesday, representing a gain of at least N3 compared to Tuesday's trading.

Parallel Market Rates Rise

At the black market, the naira also strengthened. According to Aboki FX, the buying rate increased by N1, while the selling rate rose by N3 compared to Tuesday's levels. On Wednesday, 3 June 2026, the parallel market rate stood at N1,388 for buying and N1,398 per dollar for selling.

Analysts say the continued gains at both windows reflect improved dollar supply and market confidence, though volatility remains a concern for traders.
