Naira Depreciates Slightly at Official Window, Gains at Parallel Market

The Nigerian naira fell against the US dollar at the Central Bank of Nigeria official foreign exchange window on Thursday, 11th June 2026.

Data from the CBN platform shows the naira traded at the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market rate of N1,363.8250 per dollar. It closed at N1,365.4000 per dollar.

On Wednesday, 10th June 2026, the naira traded at N1,362.0549 per dollar. This means the currency depreciated by at least N1.77 compared to Thursday’s rate.

At the parallel market, the picture was different. The naira-to-dollar buying rate appreciated by N2. The selling rate appreciated by N5 when compared to the previous trading day on 10th June 2026.
