Dangote Refinery Slashes Petrol, Diesel Prices Again

By

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has announced another reduction in the ex-depot prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and Automotive Gas Oil (AGO). The move is part of the refinery's ongoing push to lower fuel costs and boost economic activity across Nigeria.

Under the latest adjustment, the refinery cut the ex-depot price of PMS, commonly known as petrol, to N1,250 per litre from N1,275 per litre. The price of AGO, or diesel, dropped to N1,700 per litre from N1,800 per litre.

The price review comes as the refinery continues to improve supply efficiency and deepen domestic refining. The goal is to provide cost relief for consumers and businesses that rely heavily on petroleum products for transportation, power generation, and industrial operations.

Since starting operations, the 650,000 barrels per day refinery has steadily increased its supply of refined products to the local market. This is aimed at ending Nigeria's dependence on imported fuels.
