Oyo APC candidate Sharafadeen Alli, demands party unity for 2027 victory

By

Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, the All Progressives Congress candidate in Oyo State, has urged party members to treat every former primary election contender as a partner, not an enemy. He said unity is the cornerstone for victory in the 2027 general elections, speaking at a strategy meeting with party supporters and stakeholders in Ibadan.

Primary battle is over

Alli said the internal contest for the party nomination was a healthy democratic process that has now been concluded. He said the primary objective must shift entirely to consolidating strength, bridging internal divides and building a formidable coalition capable of reclaiming the governorship seat in Oyo State.

The APC candidate stressed that every aspirant who participated in the primaries has significant political influence and a dedicated base of supporters. He described their contributions as indispensable to a successful general election campaign. Alli cautioned members against divisive rhetoric or actions that could alienate former opponents, urging party leadership at all levels to initiate immediate reconciliation efforts.

Inclusive campaign structure

According to Alli, seeing fellow party members as opponents undermines the collective goal and plays into the hands of political rivals. He said a unified front remains the APC's strongest asset in Oyo State as the party looks toward the 2027 polls.

Alli assured supporters that his campaign structure would be fully inclusive, accommodating the interests, ideas and leadership of all aggrieved factions and former aspirants. He said the task of winning the state election requires a shared vision, mutual respect and unyielding cooperation among all party members.

Reach out to all 33 LGAs

Reaffirming his commitment to inclusive governance, the senator called on party leaders, youth wings and grassroots mobilisers across all 33 local government areas of Oyo State to extend handshakes of fellowship across previous camp lines. He concluded that with total cohesion and shared commitment to the party platform, the APC remains uniquely positioned to secure the mandate of Oyo State voters in 2027.
