Broader leadership push
The appointment comes amid ongoing efforts by Access Holdings to strengthen leadership capacity across its operations and align talent management with its long-term growth strategy.
In July, the Group vested more than 200 million shares in 77 employees across Access Holdings and its subsidiaries under an employee share ownership scheme aimed at rewarding performance and driving alignment with shareholder interests. Former Executive Director, Business Support, Bolaji Agbede emerged as the largest beneficiary with an allocation of 15.09 million shares, while several other senior executives also received substantial allocations.
Access Bank recently dismissed viral social media claims that it was shutting down operations. The lender described the reports as false and misleading, reassuring customers and stakeholders that its operations remain stable and unaffected. It said it would pursue legal action against those responsible for spreading misinformation capable of undermining public confidence in the institution.
