The NBS linked the rise to higher average prices for crayfish, fresh pepper, onions, carrots, rice, water yam, tomatoes, garri, plantain, beef and eggs.
The mixed rice prices matter for households buying in 50kg, 25kg, paint and derica quantities. Local rice held steady at the 50kg and 25kg levels, while imported varieties moved in different directions across the smaller measures.
