Petrol and diesel depot prices fall in Lagos, Warri, Port Harcourt and Calabar
By Aboki Forex —
Petrol and diesel depot prices fell across Lagos, Warri, Port Harcourt and Calabar between Monday, October 26, and Friday, October 30, 2026, as petroleum marketers competed for buyers. Lagos recorded the steepest cuts, with average petrol prices down ₦81.67 per litre and diesel down about ₦80 per litre, PetroleumPriceNG data showed.
Lagos depots lead price cuts
African Terminal and Ardova reduced petrol prices from ₦1,340 to ₦1,260 per litre, an ₦80 cut. Aiteo cut its price by ₦85 from ₦1,340 to ₦1,255 per litre. The average petrol price across the three depots fell to ₦1,258.33 per litre.
Diesel prices also dropped. Rain Oil and Wosbab reduced diesel by ₦95 to ₦1,805 per litre. Integrated, African Terminal, Gulf Treasure and Duport lowered diesel by ₦90 to ₦1,810 per litre. The average diesel price in Lagos settled at ₦1,808.75 per litre.
The reductions followed a ₦55 price cut by marketers linked to Dangote Petroleum Refinery, bringing their petrol gantry price to ₦1,210 per litre on Friday.
Warri marketers join the price war
In Delta State, Warri depots also cut prices as competition intensified. Matrix reduced petrol from ₦1,352 to ₦1,300 per litre, a ₦52 cut. Parker cut its price by ₦50 from ₦1,350 to ₦1,300 per litre. Prudent slashed its price by ₦55 to ₦1,300 per litre. The average petrol price reduction across the three Warri depots was ₦52.33 per litre.
Diesel prices in Warri also declined. Matrix offered diesel at ₦1,840 per litre, while Prudent sold at ₦1,850 per litre.
Port Harcourt, Calabar record declines
Depot prices also declined in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and Calabar, Cross River State. Available figures did not establish the exact reductions in both locations.
The adjustments reflect growing competition among marketers seeking to keep sales volumes in Nigeria's deregulated downstream petroleum market.
Motorists may not see the full savings immediately at filling stations. Retail pump prices depend on transport costs, distribution margins, existing stock and individual marketers' pricing decisions. Sustained depot price cuts could eventually ease transport expenses and operating costs for businesses and households dealing with high living costs.
Dangote Refinery has maintained a significantly lower ex-gantry price, and the gap between depot prices in Lagos, Warri, Calabar and Port Harcourt raises questions about how it could affect fuel marketers and motorists.
