Neveah Repays N23.33bn Commercial Paper Debt Across Five Series

By —

Neveah Limited has repaid ₦23.33 billion raised through five commercial paper issuances under its ₦30 billion Commercial Paper Programme. The company said the redemption covers Series 1 to 5 and demonstrates its commitment to meeting obligations to investors.

What was repaid

The repayments comprise ₦3.47 billion for Series 1, ₦8.28 billion for Series 2, ₦5.50 billion for Series 3, ₦4.49 billion for Series 4 and ₦1.60 billion for Series 5. Combined, the five series were valued at approximately ₦23.33 billion.

Commercial papers are short-term debt instruments issued by companies to raise funds, typically for working capital and other immediate financing needs. Timely repayment can influence investors' willingness to participate in later issuances.

Neveah said the settlement reflects its financial management practices, liquidity planning and commitment to maintaining investor confidence. The company operates within the commodities value chain, where access to financing supports trading activities and business development.

CEO credits discipline and cash flow

Neveah Managing Director Ibidapo Lawal attributed the repayments to the company's business fundamentals, financial discipline and cash flow management. Lawal thanked investors and business partners for their continued support.

He said the milestone reinforces Neveah's credibility in Nigeria's debt capital market and demonstrates its commitment to corporate governance and financial responsibility. Lawal added that the company remains focused on its long-term growth strategy, creating sustainable value for stakeholders and contributing to Nigeria's economic development.

Investor trust and expansion

Dr. Gbadebo Adenrele, Managing Director of United Capital Investment Banking, which served as lead arranger for the issuances, described the redemption as a positive development. Adenrele said companies that consistently meet their financial obligations are better positioned to earn investor trust and maintain access to capital.

He explained that confidence in debt issuers is essential to developing a market capable of financing business expansion and economic activity. The redemption gives Neveah a repayment record for the five issuances. A full assessment of its financial position would still require additional information on earnings, cash flows and outstanding liabilities.

Neveah said it intends to pursue strategic opportunities, expand its market presence and strengthen relationships with investors and other stakeholders.

For Nigerian businesses, the repayment adds a case study in how timely settlement of commercial paper can support access to domestic debt capital. For investors, it provides evidence that Neveah has met these particular obligations, which may support confidence in future financing activities.
