MultiChoice launches Novelas+ channel for DStv and GOtv subscribers

MultiChoice Nigeria has unveiled Novelas+, a new television channel dedicated entirely to telenovelas. The channel launches on July 1 and will be available to DStv and GOtv subscribers.
The channel broadcasts in English and Portuguese. It offers a mix of romance, family conflict, betrayal, revenge and suspense from Latin America, Turkey, the United States and Portugal.
Leading the debut lineup is the award-winning Brazilian blockbuster Avenida Brasil. The series stars Débora Falabella as a young woman seeking revenge after being abandoned as a child. Adriana Esteves plays one of television's most iconic villains.
Other shows include the Turkish romantic comedy Be My Sunshine starring Ayça Ayin Turan and Alp Navruz. Viewers will also see the 2025 remake of the Mexican classic Doménica Montero with Angelique Boyer. Another Turkish drama, Sin and Roses, stars Murat Yıldırım and Cemre Baysel in a story of family secrets and betrayal.
MultiChoice says Novelas+ will air four different telenovelas every weekday. Fresh episodes run from Monday to Friday.
