Naira Holds Steady at N1,372/$ as Forex Market Remains Stable

By

The naira stayed largely stable against the US dollar on June 25, 2026, trading at about N1,372.76 in the official market.

In the parallel market, the dollar sold for between N1,405 and N1,408, while buyers got it at around N1,395.

The gap between the official and black market rates has narrowed compared to previous years. Analysts say this is due to improved liquidity and better forex management by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Looking ahead, the naira's performance will depend on dollar inflows from crude oil exports, foreign investments, diaspora remittances, and CBN interventions.

For now, the naira is holding firm. But traders are watching for any shifts in supply.
