Samsung Galaxy M53 5G loses software support in June 2026

By

Samsung has quietly removed the Galaxy M53 5G from its software support list as of June 2026. The device will no longer receive security patches or system updates.

The phone was taken off the quarterly security update schedule. It had previously been listed alongside newer M-series models like the M54 5G, M55 5G, M55S 5G, and M56 5G. The final firmware released for the device was version M536BXXSFGZE2, which included the May 2026 security patch.

During its lifespan, the Galaxy M53 5G received four major Android updates. That is more than Samsung originally promised for the model. Users who still hold the phone or are considering buying a secondhand unit should be aware of the change. Without new security patches, the device becomes more vulnerable over time.

Samsung advises users to keep apps updated and consider newer models for long-term security and support.
