Petrol and diesel prices drop across Lagos, Warri, Port Harcourt depots

Depot prices for petrol and diesel fell across Lagos, Warri, and Port Harcourt in the first week of June, as competition in Nigeria’s downstream sector intensified.
Owners of depots made mostly downward price adjustments for petrol and diesel loading between June 1 and June 5, 2026. The biggest declines were recorded in diesel prices in Lagos, where reductions hit up to N11 per litre at Duport and Sahara depots.
Lagos depot movements
At the Lagos depot, petrol prices saw slight cuts. Pinnacle reduced its PMS price from N1,253 to N1,251 per litre. A.A. Rano moved from N1,252 to N1,249. Aipec, African Terminal, and Integrated all cut from N1,251 to N1,248. Bono and NIPCO adjusted from N1,252 to N1,248 per litre.
Diesel prices in Lagos also fell. NIPCO cut its diesel price from N1,705 to N1,700 per litre. Duport and Sahara reduced from N1,706 to N1,695. African Terminal, Bono, and MENJ moved from N1,705 to N1,695. Ibeto dropped from N1,703 to N1,695, while Aipec went from N1,703 to N1,697 per litre.
Warri depot updates
In Warri, petrol prices remained mostly stable. Matrix kept PMS at N1,265 per litre all week. Parker adjusted slightly from N1,265 to N1,264, and Nepal moved from N1,265 to N1,263 per litre.
Diesel in Warri dropped by N5 per litre. Oil Rain reduced its diesel price from N1,710 to N1,705 per litre.
Port Harcourt depot changes
Port Harcourt saw notable petrol price adjustments. Bulk Strategic cut from N1,284 to N1,275 per litre, while Liquid Bulk moved from N1,285 to N1,275.
Diesel in Port Harcourt edged lower. Sigmund reduced its price from N1,720 to N1,718 per litre.
Broader market context
The price changes followed a drop in crude oil prices during the week to $90.54 a barrel.
Earlier data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed the average retail price for petrol across Nigeria stood at N1,532.93 in April 2026. That was a 23.69% increase from N1,239.33 in April 2025, and a month-on-month rise of 18.97% from March 2026.
Yobe State recorded the highest average retail price for petrol at N1,599.05, followed by Edo State at N1,595.74 and Bauchi State at N1,589.07.
