MultiChoice Group has confirmed that all 104 matches of the FIFA World Cup 2026 will air live on SuperSport channels across English and Portuguese-speaking Africa. The tournament runs from June 11 to July 19, 2026, in Mexico, Canada, and the United States.

Subscribers on DStv, DStv Stream, GOtv, and GOtv Stream will have access to every live match, highlight, and repeat. The company says this is the most accessible World Cup ever for its customers. Packages from DStv Access to DStv Premium will carry full coverage.

The 2026 edition is the first to feature 48 teams, up from 32. Africa will send its largest contingent ever with 10 nations qualifying. They are Ghana, South Africa, Senegal, Cape Verde, Cote d’Ivoire, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Rendani Ramovha, CANAL+ Director for Content and Sports in English and Portuguese-speaking Africa, said the company is excited to bring the historic tournament to African audiences. He added that SuperSport will introduce special programmes, magazine shows, and football masterclasses with experts from across Africa and the world. Broadcasts will be tailored to local cultures and African languages.

The coverage will reach 27 African countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Subscribers can get more details on packages and streaming access via DStv, GOtv Africa, and SuperSport.

In a related move, MultiChoice has confirmed that DStv subscription prices will not change in 2026, breaking from its usual annual adjustments. The company is also introducing a bill-splitting feature on the MyDStv app to help subscribers manage costs.
